Go Blue talks about when to blog. She raises a number of questions such as when the week ends and whether the posts are being counted strictly by week.
I may have answered some of these questions individually in class, but it is probably worthwhile to coalesce them here. I am not being extremely strict in my interpretation of when the week ends, but it may help to say that I think of one week ending on Saturday and a new one beginning Sunday. It may help you to pick a day to blog and just do it.
Now, as to whether posts are being counted strictly by week, the following guidelines should help. You should be contributing regularly at a rate of about 2 posts per week. There may be a week or two where you fall behind. Just try to catch up. I consider us as having started officially blogging, Sunday, September 12.
I will be assigning grades on these posts at the end of the term. People who have kept up a pretty regular posting schedule and have provided information to the class such as well-considered questions about what is going on in class, answers to those questions, how-to's for things like trackbacks, notes concerning articles, etc. will get high class participation credit. Assume that I like your posts unless you hear directly from me otherwise. In grading, I will look at number of posts, regularity of posts, and quality of posts.
